1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Association of Pulmonary Pathologists website, membership services, educational resources, events, and related platforms. By creating an account, applying for membership, or using any APP services, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to pathologists and related professionals with a genuine interest in pulmonary pathology. The Association of Pulmonary Pathologists reserves the right to approve, refuse, suspend, or terminate membership at its discretion.
3. Membership Accounts
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide during registration is accurate and up to date. You must not share your account credentials with others. The APP is not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from failure to safeguard login details.
4. Fees and Payments
Membership and event fees, where applicable, are payable in advance. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third party payment service provider. The APP does not store or process full payment card details. By submitting payment, you also agree to Stripe’s terms and privacy policy.
5. Use of Content and Resources
All content provided by the APP, including educational materials, case discussions, presentations, and downloadable resources, is intended for professional and educational use only. Content may not be copied, distributed, published, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the APP.
6. Member Conduct
Members are expected to act professionally and respectfully in all APP activities, including meetings, online discussions, and events. The APP may take appropriate action where behaviour is considered inappropriate, unethical, or contrary to the aims of the association.
7. Events and Meetings
The APP organises educational and social events throughout the year. Event details may be subject to change. The APP is not liable for costs incurred as a result of event cancellation, rescheduling, or changes beyond its reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
Information and resources are provided in good faith but without warranty as to accuracy or completeness. The APP is not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from reliance on content provided through its services or events.
9. Changes to These Terms
The APP may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of APP services following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
